1. Introduction
This Shipping Policy explains how MR STEVEN RICHARD TOPPLE prepares quotations, books shipments and manages the movement of goods. By requesting a quotation or booking a shipment with us, you agree to the terms set out here and in any applicable quotation and conditions of carriage.
2. Quotations
Quotations are prepared based on the details you provide through our quote request form, by email or by phone. Each quotation includes, where applicable:
- The route and mode(s) of transport.
- Estimated transit time.
- An itemised breakdown of charges.
- Any exclusions, such as duties, taxes and third-party fees.
Quotations are valid for the period stated, or for 30 days from the date of issue where no period is stated. We may revise a quotation where shipment details change or where costs are affected by factors outside our control.
3. Booking and confirmation
No shipment is booked until we have received your written acceptance of the quotation and any required deposit. Once confirmed, you will receive booking documentation confirming the details of your shipment.
4. Pricing and charges
Our charges reflect the services quoted and agreed. The following are typically not included unless stated in your quotation:
- Customs duties, taxes and import charges.
- Port, terminal and demurrage/detention fees.
- Consular and documentation fees charged by third parties.
- Storage charges for cargo collected or delivered late.
5. Transit times
Transit times are estimates and can be affected by factors including weather, customs inspections, port congestion and carrier schedules. We provide the most accurate estimates available but cannot guarantee exact arrival times.
6. Packaging and labelling
You are responsible for ensuring your goods are appropriately packed, labelled and prepared for the selected mode of transport. Where requested, we can advise on or arrange suitable packing and crate solutions.
7. Customs and documentation
Where we provide customs clearance and documentation services, we will prepare and submit the required paperwork on your behalf. You are responsible for providing accurate commercial invoices, product descriptions and any licences required for your goods.
8. Delivery
Delivery is completed when the goods arrive at the agreed destination and are signed for or otherwise confirmed as received. For door deliveries, please ensure suitable access and unloading arrangements are in place. Additional waiting time may incur charges.
9. Insurance
Cargo insurance is not automatically included in our quotations. We strongly recommend that customers arrange insurance for their shipments. We can assist in arranging insurance cover and will provide details of the terms available on request.
10. Damaged or missing goods
If your goods arrive damaged or do not arrive as expected, please notify us as soon as possible and no later than the timeframe set out in your booking documentation. Keep all packaging and evidence, as it is needed to support any claim. Claims are subject to the applicable conditions of carriage and any transport conventions.
11. Force majeure
Neither party shall be liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond their reasonable control, including natural disasters, strikes, border closures, pandemic-related restrictions, war, terrorism or acts of government. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of such events.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Shipping Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page with an updated revision date.
